Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, at Beaumont Puy in Domme. From a very young age, her dental doctors parents and teacher mother supported Audrey's love of theatre and drama. The passion for theater was the one which trumped her original desire to become a an animal scientist. She rose to prominence as an actress in her early years and achieved huge success. In 1998 after her studies, she took part in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching her acting career in earnest. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but now dissociates herself from the aforementioned societal influences. In addition to her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting profession, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrity and fame, and focuses the camera on the media who sat on her shoulders following her sudden rise in fame and fortune in the film Amelie as well as several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her role debut as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie won international acclai film box office successes and was recognized at award galas across the world. The film is still the most successful French film across the US. Following this success Tautou starred in numerous film productions ranging that ranged from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
