April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4 in 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for songwriting. At the age of 12, she composed her first single called Different. When April was 14 years old, she devoted long hours developing song ideas and perfecting the music. She started writing songs along with her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April began also to incorporate different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with such things as peer pressure disabilities and even teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with an ever-growing fan base. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia together, in addition to being an expert in the field of lifestyle. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is why she's what she is. It's just not all the facts. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on Instagram, but she does not make it the main focus of the post. The message is? We are all more than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and encompass a variety of aspects. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability should define my character. My goal is not to be an influencer on disability, because I've many more things to contribute." However, it doesn't affect my everyday living. I do my normal activities and have adjusted to my disability. The same is true for my life, and I think it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. However, she admits to going through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which showed her arms. Today, she wears whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love for her was a long journey. This is true for everyone, regardless of their insecurity. It's essential to surround yourself with people who can discern and understand your heart.
